About
Ashley, 23, lives in Urbana, Illinois and works as a server at Timpone’s Restaurant. She has been working toward the goals of paying back old student loans and going back to school. In the early morning of May 28, 2010, the house where she lived with her four roommates caught fire. Her roommates and friends got out safely, but Ashley had to be airlifted to Springfield’s Memorial Hospital, where they have a specialized burns unit. Her condition is critical.
I met Ashley soon after she moved to Urbana-Champaign in 2007 and we quickly became friends. Ashley is genuine and friendly, and her sincere and open attitude won my heart right away. I also work with Ashley as the assistant manager at Timpones, and she is a big part of our family there. The house that caught fire is only blocks away from me, and as soon as I found out what happened my first reaction was “What can I possibly do to help Ashley?” I didn’t know the extent of her injuries yet, but I did know she already had student debt and would definitely need money to help pay for the medical bills. And so I put this site together as soon as I could, so that when other people asked if they could help, I would have somewhere to direct them. According to my limited research on burn victims, in order for Ashley to receive proper care, the injuries that she sustained in the fire will have an estimated cost of at least $700,000+ in medical bills. All donations go to pay for Ashley’s current and future medical bills, reconstructive surgeries, and transitional costs for injuries caused by the fire
Ashley is one of the sweetest persons I know, and everyone who knows her would agree. She never complains, works hard, and takes everything in stride, and I so earnestly want to help her in anyway I can. Every dollar counts, so please spread the word to anyone you know that can afford to help!
Thank you all for the support!

Thank you Christine for your love, support and friendship with our Ashley. Because of friends like you, our family is comforted and lifted up. Everything you do is appreciated by all of us. I am one of Ashley’s grandmothers. Please continue to pray, work and do all you can to help her. It will be a long road for her recovery. Knowing that her family and friends are standing by her will mean so much to Ashley in the future.
